Some kids love mornings while others don’t.
How do you get children who move as slow as zombies to wake up and move faster?
Sweep nagging and scolding under the rug because they may work but they’re no fun.
The solution?
Head to our latest guest post titled: Fun Morning Routine Ideas Sluggish Kids Will Love over at Make or Break. It’s a mix of games, incentives and fun reminders to get those sluggish kids to wiggle a bit faster.
By the way, a pre-requisite to this article offers parenting tips to help moms organize and strategize their morning routine. Feel free to check it out!
GE&M would like to send a heart felt thank you to Pehpot of Make or Break for publishing the post. It was fun thinking and researching on creative ideas to help kiddos and their harried moms through stressful mornings.
2/15/12 UPDATE: Here are useful links that lead to the morning checklist, printable routine cards and the morning routine chart (respectively items 5, 6, 7 on the post). These are all free.
Here are other parenting articles by us featured on other blogs.

Ha, I know what you mean about slow pokes! I sound like a broken record in the morning. Hope these help you with the kiddos, Elisa and thanks for dropping by!

Great tips, Anne. I like the strategy of smothering with kisses…keeps them from being too grumpy when they open their eyes. My daughter prefers Taylor Swift to wake her up…fine with me!

It works so well for my grumpy morning critter (he’s 4 years old).
I give him kisses and he has a smile on his face even before his eyes open. But I can’t do that for long… so I might consider using Taylor Swift as well, if she’s still singing 10 years from now. Thanks for dropping by!
Headed over to check it out now!

I made a comment on the blog post about sluggish kids.
Those are great ideas!
When my kids get sluggish, which I am sure ONE will someday, those would be great things to try.

I miss housework!
Hi Sarah, thanks for leaving a comment here and there (and everywhere! – sorry, I couldn’t resist). And I’m glad your kids aren’t sluggish in the morning…. some kids are. (Looks over to where her kiddo is fast asleep.)
Once again, fantastic suggestions which I will pass on to my husband, who thankfully for me, does the morning routine. I am personal fan of the morning kisses…I love to wake them up that way, while my husband has them on a checklist. He’s way more organized than me…and they always get on the door on time on his watch

Hmm perhaps he could share his tips on getting the kiddos up and about (and on time!!) as well
Thanks for dropping by Lynn and glad you enjoyed these. I’m sure you know that with kids, you just have to outsmart them creatively.
