A Mom Leaves Her 6 Month-Old Inside a 117 F (47 C) Car

How long would you last inside a car in that temperature? I’d say a few minutes tops, then you’d bolt our the door. Unfortunately, infants can’t do that.
A UK mom recently plead guilty to leaving her baby in the car while she went shopping, according to Sun Journal.
In today’s world where department and online stores are flooded with baby accessories, it’s almost impossible not to be able to buy a stroller. Should you find them to be too bulky to push around while shopping, there are tons of stylish baby slings out there. And if fitting clothes would be impossible with a sling, look for a relative or friend you can leave your child with for a few hours.
However, if you have no stroller, no sling, or no one you can leave your child with, don’t go shopping.
Perhaps this mom had a legitimate reason to enter the store sans her baby. Perhaps not. What matters is that safety always comes first, and it’s definitely unsafe to leave a 6-month old alone in a car.
What a great parenting news article to start my Sunday morning with! Geez.
