When Parenting Becomes Dangerous. Overfeeding is Harmful to Your Child!

Baby Feeding 200x300 When Parenting Becomes Dangerous. Overfeeding is Harmful to Your Child!

It’s Halloween so we’re bound to hear stories of horror. Stories about ghouls, ghosts, witches, goblins and whatever other-wordly creatures enjoy roaming the earth on their special day. But with Halloween just around the corner comes a horror story of a different kind.

Parenting can be anxiety-filled because we constantly worry about raising our children. Their nutrition, safety, education, values, personality development and a whole list of other concerns that often cloud our heads.

Is it possible that these worries turn into fears that can lead us to harm our children? It seems to be the case with a mother accused of over-feeeding her 10-month old child, causing the baby’s death. This is horrific.

According to news, the woman who is actually a nurse, seemed to be obsessed with her child’s weight. The reports said that a jug’s spout was placed in the baby’s mouth which prevented the child from rejecting food.

An autopsy revealed that there was food found in the baby’s lungs due to excessive feeding.

This is a call to all parents out there to just be careful. If you are worried about your children, do research (hit the library or internet) and then consult a professional to ensure your child’s safety.

If you know anyone who seems to employ unhealthy parenting methods, help them by speaking out and getting professional assistance immediately.
