Rain Has Not Stopped In Days, Please Help Those Affected

From the archive. This post was first published on the original Green Eggs and Moms blog and is kept here as it was.

Filipinos needs your help.

Both Tina of Truly Rich Mom and I have decided to postpone regular posts for this week to ask for assistance as our country struggles to stay warm and dry in this unforgiving weather.

It has not stopped raining in days and to give you an idea of how it’s been, here’s an image I took from Ave Maria Philippines’s Facebook page.

Worse than Ondoy

What we need right now…

1. Prayers

There are a lot of people perched on their rooftops, cold and hungry, waiting for rescue. There have also been casualties because of the relentless downpour. Please say even a quick prayer for God to protect those who need protection, and hold close tho have passed.

2. In kind donations

Couple For Christ Foundation is receiving donations for towels, clothes, canned goods, flash lights, biscuits, umbrellas and anything that will keep fellow Filipinos warm, dry, fed and safe.

Their office is at 156 20th Avenue, Cubao, Quezon City; and contact numbers are (02) 7094851 or (0917) 5908077. More details can be found here.

Breastmilk donations are also accepted – see Tina’s post here on how to do this.

3. Monetary (includes both local and international donations)
