3 Short & Awesome Videos About the Nativity Your Kids Will Enjoy

From the archive. This post was first published on the original Green Eggs and Moms blog and is kept here as it was.

Christmas is closing in.

While we all enjoy the festivities, it is equally important to remember the reason this season is celebrated: Jesus.

Now is a great opportunity for you to teach your children about nativity story. You can read books with them or watch videos. If the latter is more appealing to them, you are in luck.

Here are the best videos I found on Youtube. Out of everything I saw, these are the most engaging and well-told stories. Take a quick look at each and decide which you want to use. Or, use all of them.

3 Videos About the Nativity

1. Christmas Nativity for Kids from Scriptures4Kids

The video is less than 2 minutes and suitable for younger kids because of its simple and concise story-telling. This is perfect if you are busy preparing for the holidays but still want to take a few minutes to teach your kids the essence of Christmas.

2. Retooning the Nativity from berknessdotcom

This plays for more than 4 minutes for a good reason. The story debunks common Christmas story misconceptions in a humorous way. The narration is more suitable for older kids who are already familiar with the story but need a refresher. Even adults may find it highly entertaining.

3. Nativity Children’s Interactive Story from DIGDEVAPPS

This runs for almost 4 minutes. It is actually an iPad interactive story book that was recorded. The video is very entertaining plus it led me to purchase the app for my kid. It is only $.99 and the little one absolutely loves it.

Whichever video you choose, be sure to make the time to sit with your kids and watch. Happy viewing!
