Halloween Costumes for Kids: Here are Fast & Easy Ideas

Spook night is coming up soon! If you still don’t have Halloween costumes for your kids, let me help you with that.
Mall Halloween Costumes
Cramming? Head to the mall and pick out a costume or two fast. Of course, the usual suspects you’ll find are the whole line of superheroes popularized by DC comics and Hollywood (am I missing anyone else?). Usually it’s our sons who love them. So, unless our daughters want to be Iron Man, this section is restricted to boys. Sorry girls!
A little bird told me that you can get these costumes from SM* for around Php 700-800.
This is a supereasy way to dress your little trick or treaters up. The only challenge you might encounter is finding the right size. However, if you’re not that particular about costumes being a tad too small or big, you should be good.
Okay, okay, I did say this section was for boys but… the little bird also told me that it did see a witch and princess costume in SM too. You should be able to find costumes for your girls then.

DIY Halloween Costumes

In touch with your creative side? Use make-up and your children’s clothes to assemble a costume. Take a look at Edward Scissor Hands. All you need are black clothing, face powder and and eye liner. Mess up your kid’s hair with some maximum strength gel- that’ll hold those rugged locks into place. If your kid has short hair, try to still mess it up best you can.
The scissor hands are optional but if you’d like to get into it, use old folder and aluminum foil to complete the look.

Now, zombies are definitely in fashion nowadays. So grab your lipstick, your daughter’s rattiest clothes and turn her into one.
The best part is these ideas won’t cost you a thing.
Halloween celebrations don’t have to be stressful or cost tons of money. They can be easy, fun, low-cost or cost-free because what your children will remember aren’t the elaborate and expensive costumes, but how much fun they had with you. Enjoy the spook-filled night!
